Updated Patient Policy

Local patterns of COVID-19 and Governor Ricketts directives for Nebraska allows us to begin scheduling patients again. We will continue using tele-medicine for those concerned with contact or who have immunity risks. We continue to create an environment of safety for you by reserving our office space for ONLY you at the time of your appointment. In addition, you will be seen by only Dr. Ericksen for all testing. Please review our new patient care policies that will remain in affect for the next year.

  • Pre-entry testing:  We will contact you for pre-entry testing which will include your health history and questions regarding cough, shortness of breath, fever, stomach upset, and changes in senses of taste and smell to reduce your in office contact time.

  • If you have COVID symptoms we ask you to contact your primary health provider and reschedule your appointment 2 weeks later

  • To reduce your exposure to viruses we will have only 1 patient in the office at a time.  Drivers and family are asked to wait in the car.

  • You will have hand sanitizer available and a mask to wear on entry and discard on exit. We will be wearing a mask for your protection as well.

  • All testing areas and equipment are fully cleaned between every patient.

  • Any follow-ups to your treatment plan and question will be conducted via virtual consult or phone when possible to avoid unnecessary travel and exposure for you.

  • Contact lenses and optical products will be shipped directly to your home.

Doctors:  If you have an emergency patient, please call us. We hope to help patients avoid ER’s and hospitals when possible to avoid unnecessary exposure to others and themselves.
